10 Years Of Rescue

10 Years Of Rescue

10 years ago I was looking for a playmate for my Yorkie completely unaware of the life shelter dogs had, and how many were put down everyday. My world was filled with kids, career, family, and horses. I had no idea the journey I was about to embark on, how hard I would fall for shelter dogs, or that I would have an uncanny way of reading their needs. But then it happened, our first shelter trip. So many adorable dogs, a lot of them stressed out and shut down. Our first shelter trip the worker told us we picked, “literally two of the worst dogs.”

From the beginning the dogs had a voice that needed to be heard and understood. I would go to the shelters and seek out the problem cases. Those dogs would stay with us as long as needed until they were ready. We’ve had many crazy scenarios, happy adoptions, sad situations, and wonderful turnarounds.

From puppies to senior dogs, they’ve all held such a special place for us. Last week we received a call from a family that adopted a dog name Maggie from us 8 years ago. The call was to thank us for such a wonderful dog. What a blessing these dogs are! That is why we do what we do.

We hope you will join us as we celebrate the Rescue Of Many Pups (ROMP) and our 10 year anniversary. We are having a formal affair for humans and a separate event for dogs and their owners.
